Is your resume posted here?

No.  I'll send a resume to anyone who asks, but I don't think it's a very useful way to provide
information about myself.  Please
contact me if you have specific questions about my
qualifications and experience that aren't answered on this site.

How about your upcoming performances?

For now, the only group with which I have regularly scheduled performances is the Pomona
College Orchestra.  Other opportunities arise on a less predictable basis, and I'm not a clever
enough website designer to have that information automatically updated.

What's with the purple?

Thank you for asking.  Purple is the distinctive color of the NBA's Phoenix Suns, of which I am a
diehard fan.  I don't have the hue quite right, but it's close enough.  The Suns are one of the
oldest franchises in the four major North-American sports never to have won a championship.
Remaining their fan is just one more way that I demonstrate commitment to what I believe in.

Do you play sports yourself?

It can be said that I physically participate in sports-related activities, but any stronger statement
would disgrace the image of the sports that I might be associated with.  In other words, yes, but I'm
no good.

So you must have other hobbies.

Honoring the memory of my days as a math brat, I play small-stakes poker, mainly on line.  My
interest in the game predates the recent "boom," which I guess means that I'm more likely to keep
playing once the boom goes bust and all of the new players have lost their money.  The highlight
of my gaming (note: not "gambling") career was winning a lottery for a seat in the championship
event at the 2003 World Series of Poker.  I finished in the middle of the pack, nowhere near the
money, and can't say that I played particularly well.  Okay, I could say it, but I generally don't lie
when away from the table.

Do you have a family?

My wife, Kira Blumberg, is a professional violist who plays with the Los Angeles Opera, the Long
Beach Symphony, the Redlands Symphony (where she is principal viola), ensemble GREEN,
numerous other groups, and in the film and television studios.  She also teaches viola privately
and is on the faculty at the University of Redlands.  We have a daughter, Annika Lindholm, who
was born in June 2003.  Of my "original" family, my mother lives in Tempe, my brother lives in
Boise, and most of my other close relatives live somewhere in California.

I'm looking for Eric Lindholm, "The Mad Swede," who runs a politically
conservative blog called Viking Pundit.  Is that you?

No.  That Eric Lindholm and I have never met or corresponded.
